The Charleston Dance Alliance is a group devoted to strengthening the local dance community through unification in performances, festivals, and instructive programming.
The mission of The Charleston Dance Alliance is to unite local and regional dance individuals and organizations for the purposes of promotion, support, and development in the community through performance, festivals, educational programming, and through the creation of a public forum, encouraging the exchange and discussion of ideas about dance, and by fostering a community that nurtures growth, creativity, and an appreciation for the art of dance.
We strive to reach this mission through the following ways:
-Presenting collaborative performances such as the anual Charleston Dance Festival and pop up performances around the City of Charleston.
-Educational outreach programs such as teaching training programs and connecting dance students with working professionals in the industry.
-Hosting educational lecture series for dancers about current topics facing the dance industry.
-Creating a forum for the dance community to share, collaborate, and discuss dance.
